Ian Murphy has been writing and playing with tech for decades. Upon leaving the Royal Marines he entered book publishing and soon starting writing freelance articles.
As a freelance writer he has written for a long list of titles that would bore you to read.
Ian is also a freelance industry analyst having worked with Philips Global Media, Ovum, MWD and Creative Intellect Consulting. He now owns Synonym Advisory focusing on cyber security, quantum computing and other fun stuff. He has also been known to give keynote presentations at major IT shows.
When not up to his ears in technology bits and bobs Ian is to be found playing, umpiring, coaching and writing about field hockey. He also owns a number of websites covering rock music, children’s toys and sports. In addition he owns Imagination, a science fiction, horror, fantasy and games magazine.
In what spare time is left, Ian is to be found doing a part-time degree with the Open University
