I am a former BBC Environment correspondent with a background in environmental sciences.
I write technical and non-technical reports and articles for the Institute of Environmental Management and Croner International, among others.
My work extends to local and regional media coverage linking environmental aspects to social and economic issues affecting local communities - climate change and flood risk is a good example.
Over recent years I have developed a portfolio of media training programmes to help various organisation improve their communications skills and get the environmental message to a wider audience. Clients include RSPB, Regional Wildlife Trusts, Environment Agency (Netregs), chartered Inst of Enviornmental Health, Yorkshire Dales Nat. Park and others.
Specialist areas
My specialist area is Environment and Sustainability. I am a specialist in international policy, national strategy, energy, water, waste and corporate responsibility. I write technical and non-technical reports on all aspects of environmental management and the legal framework.
