I have a BA (First Hons) degree, I'm literate, mature, well travelled, international in outlook. My editorial work complements my activities as a commercial photographer - I shoot the built environment, products, people, general PR, lifestyle material for stock agencies, but I'm versatile. I'm also a DfEE qualified teacher, with experience of lecturing in FE: I do seminars, presentations, workshops on photography. Try just about anything on me...
Specialist areas
NB, MY SPECIALIST AREAS ARE HOME & BUILT ENVIRONMENT - BUT I CANNOT USE RELEASES ABOUT THE HOME INGENERAL, OR NEW PRODUCTS - I DO NOT WRITE ABOUT PRODUCTS! As a specialist interiors photographer as well as an experienced magazine journalist, with an 18-year track record of home-interiors case studies, I accept commissions from homeowners and other direct clients; I also offer complete homes-feature packages to the home interest sector and sometimes the broadsheets' home/property/colour supplements, though this is less important now that publishers' fees have gone through the floor, thanks to the bean-counters.... I offer commercial & advertising photography: most of my commissions from PR agencies and direct clients are to do with construction, the built environment, products & people. Since 2011 I've offered basic video provision. Since 2014 I've been spending around 3+ months each year in Eastern Languedoc - I've completed several features on homes in France, available for commissions there.
