I am a British news reporter, writer and editor with more than 10 years of experience in medical and scientific journalism and publishing. My career has encompassed managing daily, weekly and monthly medical publications for internationally-renowned organisations.
I am currently a medical writer for the Evidence Resources directorate of the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, which provides evidence-based guidance and advice for health, public health and social care practitioners in the UK. I look after Eyes on Evidence, a monthly email service that summarises and provides expert commentary on important new evidence in health, public health and social care.
I also write news and feature articles about clinical research, clinical practice, and medical and scientific careers on a freelance basis. I write largely for practising clinicians, but have also written for non-specialists and once wrote a medical blog targeted at the general public.
My editing experience compasses commissioning, substantive editing, copyediting and proofreading.
