I have a first degree in History from Oxford University and an MBA from Warwick Business School. The first 10 years of my career were spent in book publishing. After my MBA I worked for the Audit Commission, where I was responsible for press and PR and was involved in writing many reports and publications for public services.
Since moving to France in 1997 I have run my own business offering report writing and corporate writing services, one-to-one coaching in report writing and journalism specialising in articles about all things French.
Specialist areas
I have lived full-time in southwest France since 1997 and specialise in writing about all things French - customs and culture, food and drink, language, travel, property, ex-pat life. My articles have appeared in Living France, French Property News, France Magazine, Tiens Magazine, BBC olive Magazine, International Living, TheFrenchPaper and on numerous websites. My blog Life on La Lune (http://vanessafrance.wordpress.com) also showcases the wide range of French topics I write about. I provide words and pictures packages with high quality digital images. I speak French fluently and can provide translation services, source case studies for France-related PR and write copy for guidebooks and travel brochures. I can also offer sub-editing and proofing services. I am versatile, flexible, adaptable and can write in any style from consumer to academic.
