Richard Bond is co-director of multi award-winning Jamie Hempsall Interiors headquartered on the Doncaster-Lincs border and working all over the region. He is also the national chair of Macmillan’s new UK Volunteer Forum and works with the major donor team at the Terrence Higgins Trust.
Surprisingly, Richard has an accountancy background and is a former board director at Centre Parcs. He has had senior strategic experience in both private and not for profit sectors and is used to managing multi-million pound budgets with expertise in operations, finance, IT and marketing. He also holds a Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma and regularly writes for a variety of newspapers and publications.
In 2014, Richard received the Macmillan Richard Hambro Award in recognition of his work with the charity. He is the area chair for Nottinghamshire and has just agreed to chair their newly created UK Volunteering Forum, which will be the charity’s main steering body and driving force for volunteer engagement.
