Stephen Hyde is a top London photographer specialising in resort photography, hotel photography, tourism photography and spa photography.
He started his career photographing writers and celebrities, working extensively for The Sunday Times and Telegraph magazines, as well as taking cover photographs for numerous book jackets. He was featured in Twenty for Today, a major exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in London and many of his photographs are in their permanent collection.
He got his first break as a resort photographer on an assignment for the exclusive island resort of Fregate in the Seychelles and he now works mainly on location as a hotel and resort photographer. Clients include: The Resort Group plc, Meliá Hotels International, IHG, British Airways, Fregate Private Island, The Lanacaster London, K-West, Swissotel, Hotel Indigo and many more.
Stephen was partly inspired to become a photographer by the fact that his great grand-father was the influential Victorian photographer P.H. Emerson. He wrote the introduction to The Old Order & The New a definitive book on his illustrious forebear and recorded commentaries for an exhibition of Emerson's work at The Getty in Los Angeles.
He is married with two gorgeous daughters and outside photography loves cricket (MCC and Vagabonds CC ), squash and skiing.
