I have worked in newspapers, TV and magazines for more than 26 years. I am always on the look out for fascinating feature and story ideas relating to my specialist areas. My first book, Single Parenting: The Essential Guide, led to a flurry of commissions to write numerous features on this subject, as well as appearing on national TV and radio to discuss issues relating to parenting and relationships. My second book about internet dating has attracted similar interest and I have been commissioned to provide all the content for a new online dating website. I am currently also working as a freelance editor for a local newspaper group in Oxford and Reading and edit 12 titles as well as managing a team of 200 volunteers. I have provided web content for a number of online businesses and websites, and worked in the Corporate Communications Department of Thames Valley Police, editing their Force newspaper and as part of the senior management team. I also provide community journalism training for Oxford Brookes University. I have featured on the following programmes: BBC Oxford/BBC Five Live/BBC Radio 2/BBC Belfast/Lorraine/GMTV and I have had stories and features published in the following: Red/Grazia/Oxford Mail/Daily Mail/Woman/Oxford Times/Daily Telegraph.
