Gladeana McMahon is considered one of the leading personal development and transformational coaches in the UK who combines academic rigour with down to earth communication skills. She holds a range of qualifications as a Therapist and Coach and was instrumental in helping found the Association for Coaching for which she holds the positions of Life Fellow and Chair, Association for Coaching, UK. She is also a Fellow of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, Institute of Management Studies and Royal Society of Arts. An innovator, Gladeana is one of the UK founders of Cognitive Behavioural Coaching and is an internationally published author with over 18 books of a popular and academic nature on coaching and counselling to her name. Her most recent being, “Positive Psychology for Dummies”, “Performance Coaching for Dummies” and, “No More Anger – be your own Anger Management Coach”. Her, “Confidence Works – learn to be your own Life coach” is now in its tenth year having proved a popular seller.
She was listed as one of the UK’s Top Ten Coaches by both the Independent and Observer on Sunday and one of the UK’s Top Twenty Therapists by the Evening Standard. She coaches CEO’s and those at Director Level, politicians and media moguls to master the psychological complexities of 21st century corporate life.
A broadcaster and presenter, she is called upon to give talks on a range of topics from the psychology of customer care to how to communicate, confidence building, managing work/life balance and why being nice to people improves profits. With a wicked sense of humour, she is able to turn even dry subjects into ones that have people not only feeling inspired but laughing too. With a background in the performing arts before re-training Gladeana brings inspiring presence and life to all her presentations and talks.
Her credits include “Get Smarter in a Week”, “Dial a Mum” a 25 part series for ITV, “Get Ahead with Gladeana” and “Ease the Load” and she makes regular contributions to Channel 5’s The Wright Stuff and to GMTV.
With her extensive experience of all matters psychological and her ability to turn complex theories into practical realities, she has been asked to present on a diverse list of topics to many organizations. As Co-Director for the Centre for Stress Management, she is not only a recognized leader in the field of Stress and Work-Life Balance but someone whose knowledge goes far beyond that of most presenters.
