With a Masters Degree in Linguistics complementing my first degree in English Language and Literature. I am a highly experienced journalist/well-being writer, specialising now in the well-being benefits and impact of writing interventions and the use of story and creative writing in healthcare and social care settings. My interest in well-being extends to travel and relationship features and filler paragraphs for the elderly, disabled and ex-pat communities. I am also a blogger.
Specialist areas
In 1985, I started off in journalism with interviews of master craftspeople and artists and produced countryside, heritage and travel features for a range of national and regional newspapers and magazines. Between 1992 and 2010, I specialised in health & well-being features and public and occupational health features. I now write features about communication & story-telling (in health & social care settings), and creative writing for personal and professional well-being and publication. I also have expertise in travel for the elderly and disabled and in well-being for ex-pat communities. I can provide filler paragraphs on all specialist areas
