With a career in Motor engineering and aftermarket repair of modern and classic vehicles, Dave Richards started writing on the top global-selling classic car magazine Classic & Sports Car.
As a freelance writer, journalist, motoring historian and photographer, 'Dr Dave' contributes to many current titles, including Classic Car Weekly, Classics Monthly, Practical Classics, Jaguar Driver, Classic & Sports Car and The Garage & MoT Professional, and has also written features for Motorsport, Practical Caravan, Classic Military Vehicle, Motorsport News and Autocar.
He's acted as a consultant for Top Gear (BBC2 motoring magazine programme) on more than one occasion, and his images have been published in all of the above titles, and weekly newspapers such as The Oxford Mail.
Vehicle recall issues have resulted in appearances during 2010 on BBC Breakfast News and BBC Radio 4's You and Yours programmes
