Based in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin, David Branigan is a photographer-journalist and a regular contributor to Irish and international media titles.
He publishes an award-winning large-format calendar of marine photography that has a popular following. In 2011, he wrote 'Ocean Fever' (Collins Press 2011) the Damian Foxall story, a biographical account of growing up with the sea and sailing.
Commercial photography, video and audio assignments are undertaken by his company, Oceansport Limited and a portfolio of work is available. Clients range from international brands and events to charities and non-government bodies.
He is a volunteer lifeboat crew-member with the RNLI at Dun Laoghaire for over 30 years and regularly serves as duty coxswain. Additionally, he acts as lifeboat Press Officer for the station and is responsible for media relations, website design and social media, cameras, editing and special events.
