Experienced journalist and editor covering energy, the environment and related tech. I write a range of content for publications such as The Energy Industry Times, ReNEWS, Utility Week, Modern Power Systems, New Power, Nuclear Technology International, Gas Turbine World, and the IET's Engineering & Technology magazine, and also undertake corporate/PR commissions and projects.
Content produced includes news, features, analysis and blogs for print and digital media.
I have also helped event organisations to put together conference programmes aimed at power industry executives.
Prior to embarking on a freelance career, I spent nine years working for PennWell Publishing as Deputy Editor and then Managing Editor of Power Engineering International (PEI), the company's flagship international power industry magazine. At PennWell I also served as the Conference Chair for some of the company's key regional energy conferences, including Russia Power and Power-Gen Latin America, and wrote for PEI's sister publications such as Asian Energy Infrastructure and the Global Power Review.
I began my career on the editorial staff of Wilmington Publishing's power group, working as Assistant Editor of Power Economics and Modern Power Systems magazines.
I hold a BSc in Geology from the University of Durham and an MSc in Environmental Technology and Energy Policy from Imperial College, London.
I am a keen sportswoman and my writing interests extend to health & fitness for the young and old!

I write extensively about a wide range of technology, policy, business and market developments in the international power and energy sectors. I also write on the environmental issues related to energy production and consumption, including sustainability, climate change, policy and legislation, carbon capture and storage, renewable energy, clean coal, energy storage, energy efficiency, and other advanced technologies. My interests also extend to global environmental issues, including climate change, sustainable development and conservation. I also have a passion for sport, health and fitness and am interested in sport psychology, coaching and exercise for people with chronic health conditions.
