Prior to becoming a journalist I worked in product development for an asset management company in the City of London and had my own business developing SRI funds for life companies. I then spent two and a half years with the Financial Times in London, working as features editor on their specialist asset management magazine, Investment Adviser. After this I moved to Dubai and am currently editor of Islamic Business & Finance magazine and deputy editor of Banker Middle East, as well as contributor to Private Equity & Hedge Funds magazine. I have freelanced for the FT, the Times, various trade and contract publications in the UK, US, Middle East and Spain. I also regularly appear on City 7 TV in Dubai, Al-Jazeera and the BBC, as well as local and international radio stations. I also ghost write and undertake corporate and investment writing work.
