Chiz Dakin

Hi I'm a freelance photographer, writer and video-maker who really likes the outdoors, and particularly mountains, adventure sports and travel. I've travelled from Antarctica to the Arctic insearch of great stories and images, but I always prefer mountainous, coastal or polar regions.

My walking routes (with images) appear regularly in Trail magazine and my images/articles also appear in TGO/OE magazines, sometimes on the front cover. I taught Ed Byrne landscape photography for the TGO Feb 2012 edition of "Ed Byrne tries..."

I've currently got four published books to my name:
Cycling in the Cotswolds
Cyling in the Peak District
Outdoor Photography (co-authored with Jon Sparks) (all these three published by Cicerone Press)
Understanding HD Video (published by Ammonite)

I was formerly a writer with Suite 101, enjoyed researching the articles I wrote for them, but sadly ad-sharing revenue schemes don't seem provide enough return for effort. But it'd be great to hear from folks wanting similar sorts of articles on a directly-paid basis, rather than ad-sharing (or similar) basis.
