I have been a full time arts and travel writer for 20 years with particular knowledge of reviewing hotels as a judge for the Scottish Hotel Awards. Specialist subjects: Scotland, Edinburgh, Highlands and Islands, Borders; Hotels, restaurants, food and drink; Worldwide luxury travel, islands, city guides, culture and heritage; review visual arts, theatre, dance, music and books. An avid cruiser, I cover all kinds of boats, barges, yachts and ships, especially small scale, 5 star cruise lines, having experienced grand voyages, literary inspired destinations and round world voyages. I contribute reviews and features to Scotland magazine, Luxury Scotland, Cruise magazines and websites, Great Boat Journeys, Smart Leisure Guide, Edinburgh Guide, ArtMag and other arts and travel publications.
