I’m a writer and photographer working freelance for a range of garden, countryside and travel magazines. I write a Country Diary for the Guardian about the landscape and wildlife of the North Pennines and I contribute to BBC Countryfile magazine. A member of the Garden Media Guild, I was a finalist for their 2023 Journalist of the Year.
Press trips that I have written about have included the gardens of Sweden, a barge trip in Scotland and country houses such as Chatsworth in the UK. For 11 years I've been the garden columnist at My Weekly magazine for which I often need to source ideas for my Best Buys section. I'm interested in hearing from PR’s about books to review or about new products so long as they are sustainable.
