For a number of years now, I have walked the areas using public transport as I do not drive. In particular, I have explored the Lancaster Canal and written a book on it. Illustrated articles I have written have been published in various magazines. I have written and illustrated a number of books, both walking and historical, such as Francis Frith books.
My two latest books are the controversial 'Morecambe Bay Solves the Heysham Mysteries' and 'Morecambe Bay Rambles', both published in September 2008.
I am in the process of writing a book on Carnforth Station, whose story keeps developing.
Recently, I have visited Sydney, Melbourne, Warrnambool and Ballarat.
A job on which I have been working for the last three years has come to an end, so pictures are now available. Peter Yates of Carnforth has been restoring the first Rolls Royce owned by the late Eric Morecambe, the well-known comeidan. I have been photographing the work as it progressed.

Specialist areas

North Lancashire, Furness, Lake District and South Cumbria, Morecambe Bay. West Highlands of Scotland and Pitlochry area. Walking, using public transport and the history of the area. Photography of the areas.
