With nearly 20 years’ experience as a journalist and editor, Rob Buckley is a specialist in media, technology, business and education, writing for trade and consumer magazines and web sites. He began his career at the Cambridge Evening News before joining trade magazine Mapping Awareness – he went on to edit the title and win an award for his work. He then edited the technology section of ‘the producer’s bible’ Televisual magazine, before becoming relaunch editor of the newsstand film and TV title Dreamwatch and then editor of the web sites for IT business magazines Information Age, The Infoconomist and M-iD.
Freelance since 2003, he has contributed to magazines, web sites and newspapers including SC Magazine, Cambridge Insider, Computer Arts, MacFormat, Broadcast, Off The Telly, Soho Independent, The Tribe, IT Pro, Action Network, Linux User & Developer, Post, Inside Knowledge, .net, iPod User, Practical Web Design, Password, Total Content and Media, S Magazine, TV Scoop, Death Ray, Filmstar, FSB Voice, Business Franchise, EducationInvestor, Learning Magazine and JISC Inform.
He has also edited contract investment magazine iSight, event newspaper Cambridge Film Festival Daily and weekly technology newsletter XML & Web Services, as well as the help desks of Macworld and iCreate magazines.
