I currently contribute as a reviewer to MadeForMums. I also work with brands and PRs creating digital content to improve user journeys and drive traffic. I develop editorial calendars and copy for blogs, Facebook posts and Twitter feeds.
For the last couple of years I've worked on a freelance basis for digital agency Zone for clients including BT and Tesco. I was responsible for overseeing site’s editorial content and content creation, strategy, creating content plans, blogger outreach and seeding content, commissioning and writing content, social media including managing Twitter feeds and advising on Facebook posts, redesign of customer retention e-newsletter to improve open rates, content creation for bespoke email campaigns.
Prior to this I was website editor of Asda Magazine (which has 6 million readers) and worked for a number of years as features and travel editor of Tesco magazine. I have contributed to various national publications, both print and online, including The Sun, Daily Express, Wedding magazine, Cosmo online, High Life and The Times.
I began my career in PR and have acted as a freelance consultant to various PR agencies/ brands advising on how to approach the media. I also have experience in writing press releases and marketing materials.
Specialist areas
I recently had a little boy (4 months) and now specialise in lifestyle, parenting (baby), travel features and restaurant reviews/ new openings. I am editor of the blog My Hidden Gems (myhiddengems.co.uk) and I work with various tourist boards and tour operators, including Visit England on it.
