A specialist in travel writing, she also writes about food and drink, arts, global issues, technology. Her work has frequently appeared in the Telegraph, Guardian and Observer and also the Financial Times and various consumer magazines, including Time Out, BMI Voyager, and Food and Travel. She was a presenter on the cult Channel 4 show Heavy TV and has presented podcasts and vodcasts for the Guardian, as well as appearing on Festival FM, Resonance FM, BBC Radio Sheffield and BBC Radio Jersey.
