I am a UK freelancer who has worked as an editor and journalist for more than 30 years, specialising in sustainable business. Over that time, I have written, among others, for The Times/Raconteur, the Guardian, the Sunday Telegraph, BusinessGreen.com, diginomica.com, Personnel Today, HR magazine, Computer Weekly and Financial Director magazine.
I also used to edit the HRZone.com online publication and community and the Global Payroll Association's content website, GPA.Live.
My career started in 1992 when I joined a daily tech newswire service. After working for various weekly magazines, I entered the dotcom world with online daily news service, vnunet.com. I worked there for about five years, two of which were spent in San Francisco, California, as US Bureau Chief.
Since then, I have worked mostly in a freelance capacity. This has included editing content and writing both features and news. It has also included copywriting and developing a wide range of different marketing materials. I also spent two years in South Africa, where I wrote a blog for International Business Times.
Specialist areas
Sustainable business, which includes social/people sustainability and environmental issues. I also write about 'tech for social good' and where technology influences both the workplace and society.
