I currently write a regular blog on art for the Huffington Post UK as well as general features for national magazines and newspapers such as The Guardian, Times and Independent. I was formerly head of the BBC News Profiles Unit where I produced TV news packages, obituaries and wrote online features. I have travelled to many parts of the world as a journalist and have a passion for things historical. There is a detailed biography and some examples of my work on my website. I have ghost-written an autobiography and have completed my first novel.
Specialist areas
I write a regular arts blog in the Huffington Post and am interested in writing copy for any artistic organisation or PR company. I write obituaries on media folk for the broadsheets. I also am interested in people profiles, history, and current affairs. If there's an anniversary of anything, count me in. I love writing about anyone who has an interesting story to tell. I'm an ex-BBC radio and TV producer, so am versatile as regards media platforms. Need something ghost-written? I'm your man. I have ghost-written an autobiography and have written my own first novel, Little Black Trains (www.littleblacktrains.com). I also undertake media training for business professionals - specifically how to most effectively conduct interviews for radio and television.
