Cambridge-educated history student, qualified in magazine journalism with NCTJ-accredited diploma. Have wide experience writing about financial issues, on placements and as a freelancer. Covered buy-side trading infrastructure and regulations, investment strategy, alternative investments and more. Have had features published by Private Equity International (PEI) and Project Finance (Euromoney).
Moved into marketing copy - white papers and market reports, press releases, website content and promotional blog articles- which stretched and developed my analytic and research capabilities, as well as my ability to handle statistics. I developed the art of using creative metaphors and analogies to illustrate obtuse technical concepts.
Subsequently I joined the Communications team of a North London accounting firm, where I discussed legal, administrative and strategic issues affecting small businesses; additionally, we managed clients' social media accounts, where I wrote several informative articles about real estate and the private rental sector.
I am now doing freelance consulting work for an investment advisory to pension funds, with a view to moving full-time into a business communications role. I am available for marketing content, news articles and features and strategy consulting.
