A journalist for 30 years', Karen Peattie has carved a niche as a freelance specialising, in particular, in food & drink and grocery retail although in recent years has moved into business, personal finance and residential/overseas property. She has written a book on the history of milk for Robert Wiseman Dairies and two cookbooks for Quality Meat Scotland, plus a number of annual reports for companies including the Scottish-based housebuilder, Mactaggart & Mickel. She is a regular freelance contributor to the Sunday Herald and also works as a sub-editor for both The Herald and Sunday Herald. Other publications include Boost! (Scottish Slimmers magazine) and Scottish Local Retailer, a trade magazine for small grocery retailers and convenience stores. Karen has recently been appointed managing editor of High Flyer, the new magazine for Glasgow Airport.
