After Cambridge University Stephen Killick became a surveyor before deciding to write about a recession rather than starring in it. After a post graduate certificate in journalism at London College of Printing he became features editor at Estates Times. Going freelance in 1995 he has subsequently written on property and the countryside for FT, Sunday Times, Mail on Sunday, Daily and Sunday Telegraph and many other business and trade magazines. His passion is golf and his favourite city, Venice.
