With an MA in Magazine Journalism from Cardiff University, I have been in the world of media and PR since 2008. In 2013 I went freelance and have since written, subbed, blogged and photographed for The Great Outdoors, Triathlon Plus, Computer Arts, Creative Bloq, Summit and Total 911 and have worked as a freelance social media editor for the National Trust. In late 2014 I relaunched my blog Outdoor Chics for women who love being active in the great outdoors.
I am proficient with InDesign, Photoshop and producing online and video content. My MA dissertation was a proposal for a new mountain sports magazine (a topic I'm passionate about) and covered everything from branding and page layouts to the advertising, marketing and sales strategy. Additionally, the magazine we created for the masters - a Cardiff men's magazine called Capital Man - won the PPA Magazine Academy award for New Digital Product Concept 2013.
Specialist areas
My areas of interest and knowledge include sports, fitness, the outdoors, art and graphic design. My talents lie in writing, blogging, subbing, proofing, page design, photography, social media and video journalism.
