I'm an author of three books and I was a freelance journalist and producer, before setting up Thought Leadership PR focussing on personal profile raising.
I'm also the host of The Media Insider Podcast, for PRs and freelance journalists, which features interviews with commissioning editors on what stories or page sections they commission and how to pitch to them.
My books include This Girl Ran: Tales of a Party Girl Turned Triathlete, which is a memoir about ditching a glamorous city girl lifestyle, toughening up through outdoor sport and qualifying to be a GB triathlete. It was longlisted for the William Hill Sports Book of the year in 2018.
My other books are Sugar Daddy Diaries, which became a WHSmith bestseller in 2011, and Screw the Fairytale, a polemic questioning whether marriage and commitment are still viable in modern society.
As a journalist, I wrote for almost all of the national papers from The Sunday Times to The Mirror and appeared as a commentator on programmes such as Good Morning Britain, Woman's Hour, Sky News, Five News and more.
I now use my media experience and story telling skills to help others get into the media, and I offer consultancy to PR agencies on pitching strategy and training junior PRs how to pitch to the media.
