Heather Rose has worked in the Scottish newspaper industry for 50-years. She studied at Napier College in Edinburgh, worked on the Milngavie and Bearsden Herald, later joining the Scottish Daily Record as a news reporter. She went on to become a features writer and in 1971 switched to freelance journalism but still working for the Scottish Daily Record on a regular basis. During the 1970s she was also a regular contributor to the Glasgow Herald and was consultant press officer to the Scottish Consumer Council during its formation period. She was appointed property correspondent to the Scottish Daily Record in 1978 and continued working for them until 1994. Her remit was extended in the 1980s when she was also appointed property writer of their sister paper, the Sunday Mail. In 1994 Heather, switched newspapers, taking on the role of property correspondent to the Scottish Daily Express and continues writing their weekly property section. About five years ago she began writing regular Scottish property features for the Scottish Sunday Express.
Heather also writes regularly for HomeSeeker Scotland and has been a contributer to Homebuyer magazine and New Home Locations Scotland magazine.
