I have just published my second Paul Amos detective murder mystery story Unlikely Graves following the success of the first novel Dead Money and am working on the third. I have worked in financial journalism in the UK and Asia. Previous posts include Editor of Shares magazine, Editor of Hemscott financial news website, Head of News at Citywire, News Editor for Business News at The Times, Business Editor of the Singapore Monitor and Deputy Business Editor of the Far Eastern Economic Review. I have contributed to City pages at the Daily Mail and The Independent. I still write a and authoritative weekly column for Morningstar. I have spoken at investor events such as the World Money Show and London Money Show. I am a regular at the London Investor Show, where I conduct a seminar for less experienced investors.
Specialist areas
I have revised my best selling beginners' guide to the stock market, Shares Made Simple, with up-to-date information and a full range of new case studies. My fifth book on stock market investment, The Dividend Investor, has been published by Harriman House. It follows Small Companies, Big Profits which covers AIM and smaller companies, Understanding Company News, a guide to interpreting company announcements, and How to Build a Share Portfolio. I am available to talk to PRs, City advisers and companies about the basics of stock market investment and communicating with financial journalists.
