Having originally qualified as a solicitor in 1997, I have worked in a variety of roles for the Law Society of England & Wales, including working in the Society's Private Office, I have also got good public sector experience through the Civil Service for both the Ministry of Defence and the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister. I'm a previous Bar Editor of Legal 500 and an ex-staff reporter for Legal Business and In-House Lawyer Magazines. I have also written for Legal Week, The Lawyer, Solicitors Journal, CDR, IBA News, In-House Perspective, Eurolawyer, and a variety of other legal titles, as well as having event management experience as a past Chairman of the London Young Solicitors Group, and Past President of the EYBA.

Specialist areas include any kind of legally-related topics, with a particular emphasis on civil and commercial litigation, professional discipline and regulation. Non-contentious subjects covered include land law, planning law, as well as EU and competition law. Also familiar with copywriting for law firm and chambers management, and working for professional bodies. Strong international and EU experience gained with a number of international legal associations, including Law Society, ABA, IBA, and others.
