I am an educationalist, an ex-ofsted inspector of schools and currently run my own international business consultancy. I have been heavily involved with many charitable and voluntary organisations. I was one of the founding members of the Hindu Forum of Britain - the largest representative umbrella body for the Hindu community in the UK. I was the first Chair of the Council of Faiths in Milton Keynes - and am a commentator on faith issues. I am a Trustee of a leading £30m+ T/O care home charity in the UK.
I write and make commentary on radio, TV and in print. I do so at the request of the media outlet and on my terms.
Specialist areas
I am a guest columnist with Asian Voice - one of the most highly regarded and prominent ethnic newspaper in the UK. My column is called 'Kapil's Khichadi' and deals with any and all sectors affecting society. It focusses on a unique and rugged analysis of British politics, the public sector, education, health, elderly care and equalities in its wider relevance to society. I also write for 'Opinion Express' which is a trail blazing magazine style political publication highly regarded in India. Within the Asian community, my column is now one of the mostly widely read and influential.
