I edited a national B2B education and technology print and online magazine, Education Technology prior to that I wrote on a local online news, food, lifestyle, and on home, family and parenting. I have also written on health, government, and voluntary sector issues. I get up to speed with complex subject matter quickly.
I currently write for Teach Secondary, University Business, Education Technology, and Independent Education Today magazines. I have the flexibility to work to tight deadlines and travel to launches/interviews.
I am a writer, but also I'm a competent producer of video shorts for social and digital and I present webinars. I'm equally happy writing news, and indepth feature or editing, so do get in touch on sophie@storyandco.uk
Specialist areas
Currently I'm looking for commissions for features or online writing. I specialise in education issues, tech and the crossover EdTech. I have plenty of experience on writing on health, particularly diabetes, and have also written on family/parenting topics and smart cities. I'm great with dry or complex subject matter such as tech or health issues. I'm good at getting to getting over why it matters, and making the content relatable for the reader or writing for a professional, knowledgeable audience. Equally happy to cover new product launches, or look at wider societal issues as I'm good at getting to the heart of the subject, so get in touch on sophie@storyandco.uk
