I am a freelance writer, copywriter, editor and artist working from a small home office on a variety of projects from articles, features and columns to commercial copy, website content and books for a broad spectrum of industries. I am the author of two fertility books and a third non-fiction third book entitled "Chasing Death: Losing a Child to Suicide", which I recently removed from Amazon and is now available solely via my website: http://www.chasingdeath.com. £1 of every hard copy sold goes to Kidscape, the UK charity dedicated to keeping children safe from bullying and abuse.
In addition to writing, I own and run eleven websites, including six financial websites and the UK’s premier resource for older parents, Mothers Over 40; the first port of call for the media when seeking interviewees and participants for features and documentaries on fertility and midlife parenting topics.
I write everywhere; at home, on holiday, up mountains, in the car (but not whilst driving), in cafés, in the middle of fields and anywhere else that inspiration strikes. I write with speed and accuracy, vivacity and authority, whether it's short or long copy, serious or lighthearted. I'm flexible, good-natured, spiritual, compassionate and a delight to work with, or so I've been told.
Laughter and being able to see the funny side of the direst of situations is what has carried me through life and helped me to cope with the more traumatic periods. Putting my observations of life into the written word has led me to specialise in humorous, satirical and thought-provoking articles, essays and columns on a wide range of topics from women's issues, relationships and parenting to psychology, human interest and alternative medicine, guaranteed to make you rock with laughter, weep buckets, enlighten, inform or reassess your views on controversial subjects. I have taken part in many lifestyle discussions on British TV and radio.
My philosophy on life is that absolutely everything happens for a reason and that all situations we encounter are part of our soul journey and learning process. My mottos are "Be kind to everyone" and "Question everything."
