Former Fashion and Beauty Editor of the Daily Record with 27 years experience. Freelance since 2004, I have held positions of freelance Beauty Editor of Scottish Woman magazine and in-house stylist and content creator for Glasgow shopping centre Buchanan Galleries, as well as writing a design column for the Sunday Herald magazine for two years, and I wrote the beauty blog for website 5pm.co.uk for nine years.
I currently create content for companies' websites and contribute to the local and national press. I have written for most major UK newspapers, including Daily Mail, Sunday Mail, Metro, Scotsman, Guardian, and more, as well as glossies like Cosmopolitan, Best, and Glamour.com.
I ran a successful beauty blog at www.beautybombshells.com, back in 2010 for five years.
I primarily focus on beauty writing, with some lifestyle and fashion.
I enjoy writing op-ed and column pieces.
I have some PR experience. I worked on a national PR campaign for a haircare brand, writing press releases, web copy and maintaining social media for the client.
I also currently do social media and content creating for a company in the renewable energy industry.
I am available for writing/content creating/editing projects in the fashion, beauty and lifestyle field as well as writing commissions and PR writing.
I started my career in football journalism and moved into features, TV and showbiz.
I worked for the Daily Record in Scotland for six years, writing various columns and specialised in TV and showbiz before fashion and beauty.
