Bio

I’m an automotive, adventure and technology writer with over twelve years experience, putting words to print and online for global brands, which include The Sunday Times, AOL, Wired, ShortList & Stylist,

I’m an automotive, adventure and technology writer with over twelve years experience, putting words to print and online for global brands, which include The Sunday Times, AOL, Wired, ShortList & Stylist, Stuff, T3, Metro and many more.

You will find regular automotive reviews in The Sun on Sunday, on Dennis Publishing’s Buy a Car website and Wired UK, where I write about the newest and most exciting vehicles. Regular technology columns at T3, Stuff and Tech Radar see me put the latest gadgets and kit to the test.

You can also find me on a train bound for London, where I’m employed by various agencies to create content for Volvo, AEG and others, as well as acting as a consultant for eBay Motors and more.

Previous full-time roles have seen me edit busy entertainment sections, plan and launch automotive websites and oversee a bustling creative solutions department for arguably the UK’s most successful lifestyle magazines.
In that time I have been shouted at by editors, almost stranded in Madrid thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo and locked away in a Latvian prison for 24-hours (it was for a feature, I promise) but copy has always been filed on time and to the highest standards.

Over the past decade, I have been entrenched in the automotive industry, where I have gained a sizeable contacts book. But the work I produce can be found in an array of lifestyle and adventure outlets, where I’ll often pack a bag and escape for a week in search of an exciting new road trip. Words can be found on Vice Media’s Amuse and DRIVETRIBE.

The rollercoaster nature of the freelance world means I have to constantly adapt, and in reaction to the ever-changing print and digital landscapes, I decided to establish Flat-Out Magazine, an online portal that fuses my loves for the Great Outdoors and anything with wheels. The stylish nature of the website and its content quickly caught the eye of the major automotive brands, so (with the help of some of my creative chums) we rapidly set about establishing a boutique content creation agency in the shape of Flat-Out Creative.

So far, Flat-Out Creative has worked with Nissan, Infiniti, Indian Motorcycles and Jimmy’s Iced Coffee to name a few.
