Leon’s journalistic career spans over 16 years, forged in the halcyon days of men’s lifestyle mags, where he worked for the likes of the now defunct Maxim, FHM and ZOO Magazine. After doing everything from being placed in a Latvian prison to camping outside of Cristiano Ronaldo’s changing room in search of an entertaining feature, he decided to focus on the world’s of consumer tech and automotive.
Stints at ShortList Magazine and Sunday Times Driving followed before he embarked on a freelance career that saw bylines for the likes of Wired, Stuff, T3, Vice Media, The Jackal, The Sun on Sunday and many more. He has written for a broad spectrum of outlets, attempted the creation of his own automotive website (it didn’t make him a millionaire) and acted as producer on several cinematic projects for leading automotive clients.
After a long time in London, he can now be found on the south coast, bobbing around in the English Channel, sweatily climbing the Purbecks on a gravel bike, stemming oil leaks on old motorcycles or generally attempting to get his kids and ageing bulldog out of the front door for a long walk.
