Traditionally trained on evening newspapers in the UK I did shifts on the nationals before switching to TV. I worked at LWT/Granada as a news editor and then as a producer on crime shows and many documentary series. I also worked extensively in TV movie script development for LWT/Granada.
I moved to Australia in 1999 and have freelanced for publications as varied as Reader's Digest and Saga at one extreme and Maxim and Stuff at the other. From my base near Sydney I work for media outlets around the world. Since I began freelancing my by-line has appeared in many of the world's leading publications including the UK's The Sunday Times, The Guardian and many newspaper magazine supplements. Australian stories only occupy half my time. For a few years I wrote careers stories for the London Evening Standard - from Sydney. So, don't let distance exclude me from a potential commission.
I also have experience in writing and research for a leading advertising agency and PR.
I can travel at short notice and have worked on assignment throughout Asia. While happy to shoot pictures I wouldn't pretend to be a photographer.
