Hi, I'm Vikkie from The Carpenter's Daughter - exactly what it says on the tin!

I was brought up in Yorkshire by property developing parents with a sawmill business that's been in the family for three generations.

My can-do attitude has been helping me renovate my first home since 2014. I've tackled so many jobs that I never thought I was capable of and have loved pushing my limits along the way.

So far I've built decking, laid a patio, installed a gravel drive, fencing, made gates, converted a camper van, tiled my kitchen - the list goes on!
But to help empower and save others money all over the world, I document and share my builds with my 38k+ YouTube subscribers and my blog readers in much simpler language from one novice to another. I try not to alienate the average home DIYer by using the limited tools and space I have.

Behind the scenes I'm a full time healthy recipe developer at TastefullyVikkie.com cooking delicious recipes for the family without sacrificing flavour. When I'm not making things in some form, you can usually find me travelling, walking and site seeing in a camper with my fiance and fluffy collie called Hans.
