"I've been a specialist writer on home design and decoration for leading newspapers and national magazines for over 40 years, profiling all major players, from designers/innovators and manufacturers to shops and now the internet. My wide-ranging work includes show previews/reports (including London, Paris and Milan), in-depth interviews, events listings, and investigations (design, technology, retailing, social media, and more).
I've been design writer/editor at Homes & Property at the London Evening Standard for over 20 years. We have pushing 1 million readers and a buzzing website.
I am also a photographer who has exhibited widely, with prints and photo-merchandise sold internationally.
I am/have been consultant to numerous brands and exhibitions, and specialise in PR training sessions.
My awards include a Lifetime Achievement award from Homes & Gardens magazine, for whom I chaired the judges for their Design Awards (now discontinued). I also hold a Services to the Design Industry award from the Designer magazine.
I've done a lot of judging, too, including for the furniture Design Guild Mark, and the Small Space Furniture Awards."
