An editor, web ed and production journalist with nearly 20 years' experience of working with some of the biggest rock titles in the UK - Kerrang!, Classic Rock, MOJO, Uncut, Q and Metal Hammer - Jo is currently Album Reviews Editor for Prog magazine, columnist for Classic Rock, contributor to Electronic Sound, freelance sub for Empire and a Module Leader for three courses in Journalism at BIMM London. Specialist areas
Bios and social media plus news, reviews and features about 60s guitar rock, 70s prog and electronica, 80s indie, 90s grunge and Britpop, modern alternative punk, extreme metal, kraut, experimental and psych - with a healthy dash of vintage folk and easy listening. I'm also drawn to record shops and people's music stashes like a rock moth to a flame; this had led to me bothering a bunch of non-music celebrities (from Bill Bailey to Ben Wheatley to Ian Rankin) over the last ten years for a regular feature in Prog called My Record Collection.
