Freelance journalist, based in Beijing, with more than 15 years experience writing on a broad array of topics.
I have spent five years in China, previously working as a commissioning editor for the travel and culture sections of China Daily and as an editorial consultant at The Beijing Review. Most of my recent freelance work has been for Bloomberg BNA, covering cybersecurity and international trade.
Prior to coming to China I worked in London, New York, Dubai and The Bahamas writing on a broad range of issues, including culture, finance, general news, and geopolitics.
In addition to my experience as a journalist I am trained in all aspects of digital filmmaking, from scriptwriting, through shooting, to editing.
I trained in journalism with the National Council for the Training of Journalists in the UK and hold a master's degree in digital filmmaking from the University of York.
