I'm a journalist with 16 years' experience of writing on workplace issues. As a former senior reporter for Personnel Today and People Management, I've written extensively on HR issues such as leadership development, diversity, CSR, pensions, pay gaps and management performance. Since January 2004, I've been freelance and written for a variety of publications such as the Guardian, Independent, Edge Magazine and a HR website for Thomson Reuters, aimed at the financial services sector. I've also worked as a researcher for the Wales TUC delving into the equality practices of trade unions in Wales. In addition, I've acted as a writer/editor for the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development on topics such as 'employing ex-offenders' and the 'benefit of mature workers'.
